A unique natural object, Sulaiman-Too Mountain, which is sacred to local Muslims, is located on the territory of the city of Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan. Until the 16th century it was known as Bara-Kooh.
A unique natural object, Sulaiman-Too Mountain, which is sacred to local Muslims, is located on the territory of the city of Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan. Until the 16th century it was known as Bara-Kooh.
Sulaiman-Too is a limestone cliff with five projecting and different in height peaks:
– Buura-Tag (Sulaiman-Too) – 1,162 meters
– Shor-Tag – 1,141 meters
– Rushan-Tag – 1175 meters
– Eer-Tag – 1144.5 meters
– Keklikuchar – 1119 meters.
On the territory of Sulaiman-Too there are such unique cultural and historical monuments as Asaf-ibn-Burkhia mausoleum, Ravan-Abdullakhan and Takhty-Sulaiman mosques, cult caves, ancient settlement sites of the Bronze Age, and a historical museum.
